The International Research Organization for Silver Applications is, we recognize, a bit of a mouthful so we’ll introduce ourselves by our shorter and friendlier acronym, IROSA.
IROSA is, as our proper name suggests, an organization which actively supports scientific research on silver-related technologies, promotes silver education and counters misinformation. IROSA also acts as a channel for the free flow of information between business, NGOs and governmental agencies.
Silver is one of 118 elements on the periodic table and its use goes well beyond Grandma’s beautiful silverware collection, special edition coins or various investment vehicles. Silver can be found in a wide variety of high tech devices, everyday items such as batteries and bearings, solar panels and medical applications. IROSA believes that silver offers tremendous potential to make the world healthier, cleaner and more efficient. Advances in silver related medical and green technologies promise to improve human health and the environment.
